Daly City, CA (March 29, 2024) – The City of Daly City celebrated Women’s History Month on March 28, 2024. Mayor
Juslyn C. Manalo, who was recently selected as one of Assembly member Phil Ting’s Women of the Year in District 19,
honored the following women and organizations whose extraordinary work over this past year deserves recognition:

The Celebration kicked off with a beautiful contemporary dance performance by Halina from the Westlake School for
the Performing Arts, included music by DJ Bitesize, and showcased sweet treats by women entrepreneurs in Daly City:
Liza Cavan from The Bread Basket, Susanna Choe from Chick-fil-A, Jane Pang from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Peggy
Cheung from Uncle Tetsu.
The event was also sponsored by Air Lollipops and included resource tables from partner organizations ALLICE, Daly City
Youth Health Center, GABRIELA Daly City, Pacific Islands Together (P.I.T.), Renaissance, The Mats, and 10th Planet Daly
City, as well as from City Departments—Economic & Community Development, Human Resources, Library, North County
Fire Authority, Police, Recreation and Water & Wastewater Resources.
