SF PH Consulate unveils AI smart booking system, NFC-assisted services
SAN FRANCISCO — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco launched several innovative technologies to enhance public service last December 1.
At the forefront is an AI-powered chatbot, developed using OpenAssistantGPT and powered by OpenAI’s advanced Assistant API. OpenAI, a global leader in artificial intelligence research, provides advanced conversational tools that empower organizations to deliver dynamic and accurate support. With this innovation, the Consulate can now provide clients 24/7 assistance, enabling clients to quickly access essential information on passport renewals, dual citizenship applications, visas, and more. Additionally, the Consulate has introduced an improved appointment booking platform, https://pcgsanfrancisco.as.me. The system simplifies scheduling, offering email and SMS reminders while consolidating booking into a user-friendly interface.
The Consulate has also deployed NFC-enabled smart posters, allowing clients to tap their devices to access information, book appointments, or check in for services. These smart signs provide a seamless, interactive experience that enhances efficiency and convenience.
