SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Experience the vibrant artistry of the Philippines at Bagong Likha: The Hinabi Project’s Annual Gala and Fashion Show, an evening of heritage and high fashion set to take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Sentro Filipino, 814 Mission Street, San Francisco. Doors open at 6:00 PM with a rich pre-show experience including: A DOST-PTRI textile exhibit, a preview of the Museo ng Hinabi’s Cordillera Exhibit, opening July 2025; a silent auction featuring unique Filipino creations. Main program begins promptly at 7:00 PM.
This much-anticipated event is proudly presented by The Hinabi Project in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST- PTRI) and the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco. It offers a brilliant showcase of Philippine Tropical Fabrics—masterfully reimagined through the lens of contemporary fashion, cutting-edge textile innovation, and deep cultural roots.
The fashion show will feature groundbreaking collections by: Hilyah, a brand known for its fusion of modesty and modern Filipino fashion; Anthony Cruz Legarda, internationally celebrated Filipino American designer; and Emi Englis, cultural advocate and member of the Davao Fashion and Design Council (DFDC).
