Let’s chat about Sansu Ramsey, our fabulous Filipina-American-Black (F.A.B.) entertainer and comedian in the Filipino community! She might have inherited her late mother’s (Elizabeth Ramsey) penchant for rock and roll but it is her altruistic activities to help Aeta tribes in the Philippines that “rock the boat.”
Sansu’s fundraising event on June 22, 2024, at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Union City will partially benefit the Aeta Tribe Foundation, an all-volunteer group that continues to assist in repairing the devastation caused by the volcanic eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991. The foundation’s mission is to tackle the water crisis, improve sanitation, and rebuild the forest destroyed by the eruption. The funding will help build water tanks, water catchments, toilets, and solar power systems. For more details, please check out the Aeta Tribe Foundation website at www.aetatribes.org and Facebook page, Aeta Tribe Foundation.
