SANTA CLARA — The San Francisco 49ers closed out their 2025 pre-season game at Levi’s Stadium with a 30-23 victory over the Chargers.
Most of the 49ers and the Chargers starters were sidelined. For the 49ers final pre-season game it was the San Francisco’s defense and special team that made the difference.
Both Chargers and the 49ers struggled to move the ball early. The turning point came late in the first quarter when 49ers tight end held off the Chargers at 36-yard line, setting up San Francisco’s first scoring opportunity.
With the pre-season over, now they’re focused on the 53-man roster deadline on Tuesday. New addition Skyy Moore and Brian Robinson Jr. join the team as roster locks.
NEXT: The 49ers play on the road September 7 against the Seahawks, September 14 against the Saints and will host the Cardinals on September 21 at Levi’s Stadium for their first home game.
