San Francisco, CA – June 4, 2025 – Golden Gate University (GGU) proudly announces the launch of its inaugural Filipino American Graduate Cohort, a pioneering initiative designed to empower Filipino American professionals through accessible, community-centered graduate education. Set to commence in Fall 2025, this pilot program offers flexible learning options and up to 20% tuition reduction, aiming to foster academic advancement within the Filipino American community.
The cohort is tailored for working adults, providing online, hybrid, and on-campus classes in San Francisco. Participants can pursue degrees in fields such as Business Administration, Counseling Psychology, and Financial Planning. Beyond academics, the program emphasizes cultural connection by facilitating monthly networking events, enabling students to build professional relationships within a supportive Filipino American community.
This initiative is the result of GGU’s collaboration with local Filipino American organizations and leaders, reflecting a shared commitment to educational equity and community development. By aligning academic programs with the unique needs of Filipino American professionals, GGU aims to create a model that can be replicated in other communities seeking inclusive and practical graduate education opportunities.
