Aspen Tangonan became the first pediatric cancer patient successfully treated for refractory high-risk neuroblastoma, a feat in pediatric oncology. She received a first-of-its-kind treatment, and her medical protocol is helping other children with neuroblastoma.
Aspen was 22 month old when she was diagnosed in the Philippines. In 2019, she began treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. St. Jude is at the forefront of pediatric cancer research and treatment, ensuring that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food.
Now 9 years old, Aspen is thriving.
