SAN FRANCISCO, JANUARY 29, 2024 — As the anticipation builds for the upcoming series of Valentine’s shows this February featuring the dynamic trio of Jed Madela, Sheryn Regis, and Jona, the artists have shared more about the legacy they want to leave behind, their signature moves, and the love songs that resonate with their personal journeys.
Jed, with a career spanning two decades, emphasized that his legacy goes beyond music. He says ” it’s not just about your music, it’s not about your voice. It’s not about how people see you on stage or on TV. It’s more of how you made an impact on their lives,” he revealed.
His signature move, noted by friends and fans, is that he can be very emphatic onstage, and they sometimes call him “halimaw” (beast) when performing. Jed punctuates his performances with a forceful “uh” at the end of his songs
Sheryn, known for her soul-stirring melodies, wants her audience to remember her through the emotional connection established in her songs. She also shares her emotional attachment to the song “Minsan Ang Minahal ay Ako,” hoping that her fans will continue to love her even when she is no longer around.
Sheryn reveals that her signature move, which she jokingly calls the “kili-kili curl,” has become a visual cue for audiences, signaling when she is about to hit the high notes.
Inspirational diva, Jona, aspires to be known for her resilience and inspiration. She shares the same signature move with Sheryn, raising her arms to reach the high notes. Another sign that tells her fans Jona is about to hit the climax of the song is when she removes her in-ear monitor, braising herself for those shattering notes.
Jona’s emotional connection to love songs is deeply personal, especially the Tagalog song “Kahit Isang Saglit” and Barbra Streisand’s “A Piece of Sky,” both dedicated to her late father.
