During the exhibit opening, Tayag shared his journey in the visual arts, and his unique choice of watercolor as his medium for his paintings. The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco—represented by Deputy Consul General Maria Paz Cortes, Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil, and Vice Consuls Adrian Baccay, Hannah Go and Glaiza Quarteros—supported the event. On behalf of Consul General Neil Ferrer, Deputy Consul General Cortes congratulated Tayag for his exhibit and commended him for his body of work that proudly illustrates the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage.
Public viewing of Tayag’s “Watercolors” exhibit are on 13 and 20 February 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on 25 February 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Sentro Filipino exhibit also features the works of Filipino artists Karen Concepcion, Jes Evangelista, Venazir Martinez, Eric “Emagn” Nodora, and Myk Velasco.
