DESCRIPTION: Sansu Ramsey, President of the Aeta Tribe Foundation, invites us to this celebration that recognizes the long-standing relationship between Black Americans and Filipinos, dating back to 1898. The event will feature the renowned jazz flutist Dr. John Calloway, a descendant of the Buffalo Soldiers, who will give a talk and performance that evening. Other artists featured are: Nicolas Bearde, Stereo Delights, and Kulintang Dialect. The Aeta Tribe Foundation, based in San Francisco, is a dedicated, volunteer-driven non-profit organization committed to making a positive impact on Aeta communities in Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales, located in Central Luzon, Philippines.
