LAS VEGAS , NEVADA — Las Vegas quarterback Aidan O’Connell (back after an injury) passed for 257 yards and the Raiders ended a 10-game losing streak with 19-14 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Raiders caught up to an early Jaguars lead and took the lead, 13-7 at halftime by scoring on three consecutive second-quarter drives. They kept up their momentum until halftime after safety Thomas Harper recovered a fumble by Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange at the 33-yard line.
The two teams swapped touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter but the Raiders forged ahead with a five-point lead at 19-14.
The win dropped them from the top pick to outside the top five. And for a team desperate for one of the top QB’s in this draft that just not good enough.
The Raiders beat the clock and ended their 10-game losing streak.
