Quiboloy skips Senate probe into his alleged sexual abuses, maintains charges as ‘bogus’

Kingdom Of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder and leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy will not attend the Senate probe into sexual abuses, human trafficking and other crimes charged against him.

In a video message, Quiboloy stressed he will not submit himself to a bogus hearing of the  Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality chaired by Sen. Risa Hontiveros.

He also referred to the veiled witnesses using aliases presented at the hearing as “bogus.”

He slammed the witnesses’ testimonies as fabrications that destroyed his reputation as a founder and leader of an international religious group.

Quiboloy’s statement came in the wake of Hontiveros’ pronouncement that she will ask the Senate to issue a subpoena against Quiboloy to compel his presence in the next hearing.

Hontiveros said Quiboloy, who is in the country based on the records of the Bureau of Immigration, had snubbed three times the committee’s invitation to face the hearing.

Once subpoenaed, a person can be cited in contempt, arrested and put in a detention facility.

Meanwhile, Quiboloy strongly denied all the charges imputed against him before  the Senate panel. He said the rape charge was untruthful as it was already dismissed by s court in Davao City. He also said the sexual abuses on the two Ukrainian  women were untrue.

“My reputation is at stake here,” he added.

During the hearing,  Ukrainian women alias Nina and alias Sofia said they were sexually abused by Quiboloy after instilling in their minds that having sex with him is part of their sacrifices.

They joined the KOJC based in Davao.

Alias Nina said she was enticed to join Quiboloy’s church as her mom and siblings started listening to him in 2012.

In the same year, she became a “pastoral” or a special assistant to the pastor in the summer of 2013.

Nina remembered Quiboloy personally told her that if she wanted to become a pastoral, “you must sacrifice everything including your body.”

“I was very innocent; I did not understand. I thought it meant you must not get married,” she said in video testimony played in the Senate hearing.

She said Quiboloy later pointed out to her that sacrificing your body meant “you have to have sex with him.”

Nina related that during that time — from 2013 to 2021, she and other pastorals had sex with Quiboloy on multiple occasions.

“Yes, all of us. You don’t say the same thing is happening because they are always saying, ‘don’t tell anybody’. It’s a very sacred ministry. Not everybody can be like that. It’s not all the same,” she said.

She also said that some of the pastorals were only called once or twice while others had to have sex with Quiboloy every week.

“It’s called night duty. Like us. We have to be there every week. There’s a schedule for every girl that you have to be there,” said Nina.

“Every time I go there, I prayed that he will be sleeping and not touching me. One time at night, he came to me to my room to have sex and I was crying. I said I don’t want it.”

She said Quiboloy flared up and told her she’s going to hell because of that.

Alias Sofia said she joined KOJC in 2014 when she was 21 years old. She said her roommate Jacqueline Roy, another pastoral told her of being ready to “sacrifice everything, including her body.”

According to Sofia, she already had many sacrifices in joining Quiboloy’s group in  Davao.

She further stated that Filipino pastoral Jack Roy told her to go to Quiboloy’s room because he wanted a massage.

“I took a bath. I put on pajamas. I’m crying, I’m scared. It’s night and because I never stay with pastor alone in the night, the dark. I was nervous. It was big room. And before Quiboloy’s room, there was a little room.”

“Ate Jack led me there and she said, ‘Go in pastor’s room.’ And I just stayed in this little room because I was scared and I was crying and pastor was waiting for me.”

“When he realized I’m not coming, he went out and pulled me in his room.
I was scared. He said ‘massage me. Feet, here, here, here. And little by little.’”

I was very nervous and it was dark and suddenly he started to move my hands to his back, butt. He said, ‘massage here’ and I was like, hmmm, okay, and I massaged. After that, little by little, he just turned to me and he removed my clothes and I was very shocked. I was nervous. He just removed my clothes and have sex with me.”

Meanwhile, a full-time miracle worker [FTMW] of the KOJC testified that she was raped by Quiboloy on September 1, 2014.

Alias Amanda said she was then 17- year old.

In between sobs, Amanda recalled her harrowing ordeal as she failed to resist Quiboloy’s sexual abuse.

Feeling helpless, she merely cried. It was instilled in her mind that it is wrong to question the “Father.”

Hontiveros started looking  into the alleged abuses by the KOJC  following complaints from former members, some of whom received several lashes or head banging against the wall.
