When gout attacks, extreme pain usually lasts for days; sometimes weeks. Gout is the inflammation of the wrists, elbow, knees, ankle and often attacks the toes. This happens when there is excess uric acid that causes the accumulation of crystals in the joints. Chronic gout attacks may cause gouty arthritis, another type of serious arthritis. If left unchecked, your joints may deform; worse, lead to physical disability. Don’t let this happen. While there is no cure for gout, you can manage your condition the natural way.
