LAS VEGAS, NEVADA — The Las Vegas Raiders held on for a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots in the week 6 games at Allegiant Stadium.
The Patriots trailed 10-0 early and were down 13-3 at halftime. They were behind 19-10 in the fourth quarter and came alive with a late fourth quarter touchdown.
But it was not enough to offset costly penalties and inconsistent game execution.
Jimmy Garoppolo missed the second half due to back injury with Raiders leading by 10 points early in the second quarter and it felt like it’s too much deficit for the Patriots offense to overcome.
Jimmy Garoppolo was out at half time, allowing former Patriots Brian Hoyer to manage offense for the Raiders. For a moment it looked like the advantage the Patriots needed but Hoyer provided no quarter for the Patriots.
