Alcohol delivery at select Food Lion, Hannaford, Giant Food, Martin’s, Stop & Shop, Buy Rite Liquors, Big Red Liquors, and all Spirits Unlimited and Stew Leonard’s Wines and Spirits locations are now available through the DoorDash platform.
“From America’s most popular brands to hard-to-find microbrews, fine wines, and spirits imports, we’re thrilled to offer a wide selection in every style and price range for on-demand alcohol delivery,” said Fuad Hannon, VP of new verticals, in a statement. “In 2023, the total number of liquor stores available on DoorDash in the US increased by more than 60 percent. Today, DoorDash is the US category share leader for third-party liquor store delivery sales.”
The grocery delivery company also unveiled Tuesday a suite of advertising offerings that it said will enable brands to connect with consumers looking to purchase and enjoy alcohol safely and responsibly. As the platform invests in its advertising capabilities, also known as retail media solutions, it has debuted features to help brands grow alongside changing consumer behavior, said DoorDash.Some of these capabilities include Sponsored Products and Brands for Alcohol, which DoorDash said offers a way to convert high-intent customers into sales with sponsored products or branded carousels in-app; Sponsored Occasion-branded Campaigns; and added tools from partnerships with MikMak and Symbiosys.AI, with insights and algorithm optimization capabilities.
