SANTA CLARA — The Matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys was touted as the battle between two of the best teams in the NFC.
Dallas was seeking revenge but the Niners defense was too much for the Cowboys.
San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy was 17 for 24 for 252 yards and four touchdowns, three to tight end George Kittle.
Running backs Jordan Mason and Christian McCaffrey each added a score on the ground.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott finished 14 of 24 for 153 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. But the 49ers defense sacked Prescott three times and forced a fumble.
NEXT: The 49ers at 5-0 and remain, along with the Eagles, one of the league’s only two unbeaten teams. They will travel to Cleveland to play the Browns next week at 1pm. ET, then play the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night the following week.
